#Schedules19-20: Lake Weir Is In, 19 TO GO

We are up to our 67th schedule thus far.

The first schedule that came in today and third of nine that’s arrived in the last 15 hours is from one of our new teams going forward this year, Lake Weir. The Hurricanes are the sixth schedule from 1A-District 5, with the last one also in hand.

The regular season kicks off for the Hurricanes on December 7, with Lake Weir traveling to another new team of ours (their schedule also forthcoming today), University-Orange City, for its one-day IBT, Clash of the Titans, on December 7. Lake Weir will then swing back into action with its first duals of the season on the 14th, going to Buchholz’s one-day Bobcat Holiday Duals. It will stay in duals format on the third weekend of December, as the Hurricanes will go to Hagerty for the two-day Johnny Rouse Invitational on the 20th and 21st. After that, Lake Weir will break for the holidays.

January kicks off with the Hurricanes engaging in 1A-District 5 dual team tournament action, with Palatka hosting on the 7th, and with Region 2 potentially in play on the 16th, hosted by the District 5 champ, and state duals at Osceola on the 24th and 25th. The next regular-season event on Lake Weir’s calendar will mean a trip to Inverness for Citrus’ one-day IBT, the Ed Kilpatrick Classic, on the 18th. The Hurricanes will stay in one-day IBT mode on the 25th, with a trip over to DeLand for the Bulldog Invitational.

February wrestling will start with the Marion County (MCIAC) tournament on the 5th, which West Port is hosting this year. Later that weekend, the Hurricanes will go to county rival Belleview for its two-day duals tournament, the Diamondback Duals, on the 7th and 8th, and that event will close out Lake Weir’s regular season.

So. That’s 67 schedules. We are actually closing in on 90% complete, but we need more. We could use YOUR SCHOOL’S SCHEDULE. Question is…WHO’S NEXT???
