#Schedules19-20: Niceville Is In, 11 TO GO

We are up to our 75th schedule thus far.

I didn’t expect to be this — free — at 4:45 pm on a Sunday afternoon when the south Georgia season is two Saturdays in now, but I am, and so I am catching up one schedule that was sent to me yesterday and one earlier today. This is the Saturday schedule, from Niceville. We are down to needing just two schedules from 2A-District 1.

The Eagles will open the season with a short trip to area rival South Walton for the two-day Border Wars VII, a roundrobin/IBT-formatted event, on December 6-7. They’ll stay in IBT format for the second weekend with a longer trip, this time to Chiles for Chiles’ and Lincoln’s two-day event, the Capital City Classic. Niceville will have its first duals of the season on the 20th and 21st, when it will travel to district rival Ft Walton Beach for its Beast of the Beach tournament. After that, the Eagles will break for the holidays.

January kicks off with a trip over the Alabama state line to Hoover and its two-day Scott Rohrer Invitational, a roundrobin event on January 3-4. Next up will be the 2A-District 1 dual team tournament, which Pace will be hosting on the 7th, with the possibility of Region 1 duals at the District 1 champ on the 16th and state duals at Osceola HS in Kissimmee on the 24th and 25th. Niceville’s next regular-season event will be some sort of home event on the 11th, with number of teams coming over to be determined yet. Niceville will go to Lincoln on the 18th for its one-day IBT, the Trojan Invitational, and then to — should it not qualify for dual states — the George Mulligan Memorial IBT hosted by Bay on the 24th and 25th.

February wrestling will start on January 31st for the Eagles, with the first of two days at the Wakulla IBT. Niceville will next take a trip to Clay and its two-day Rotary IBT on the 7th and 8th, and will wrap up the regular season with a home dual against Crestview on a rare Friday-night season-ender on the 14th.

So. That’s 75 schedules. Two more to go, and we hit 90% complete. We need more. We could use YOUR SCHOOL’S SCHEDULE. Question is…WHO’S NEXT???
