12/9 #DailyRoundup: Middle Can’t Save Dual For Panthers

North Florida Matmen staff report

MILTON — If nothing else, Milton learned Monday night that the middle of its lineup is capable of scoring solid ponts.

The bookends of the Panther lineup, however, need to do some catching up, as visiting T.R. Miller (ALA) won every match from 106-120 and 182-285 in taking a 48-36 dual victory over the hosts.

Milton (0-5 in duals) got out to an 18-0 lead, a lead that became 24-6 a couple moments later, on pins from Brandon Nicholson (138), Joslyn Anderson (152) and Daniel McDonal (170).

But Miller went on a 42-point run, with four forfeits and three pins, to clinch the dual. Brock Wells (126) and Micah Kendrick (132) would both take falls to make the score closer, but the damage was done.

Match-by-match results from Monday’s dual can be found HERE.

The Panthers are now off until Saturday, when they’ll take part in the Gulf Breeze Duals, hosted by their district rival.
