ORANGE PARK — Getting to 100 victories is a pretty decent milestone for a wrestler.
It’s just as true for coaches as well.
And Wednesday night, while visiting Oakleaf, Orange Park recorded its 10th dual win of the year and 100th under head coach Justin Daniels, as the Raiders turned back the Clay County Knights, 41-30.
Oakleaf (3-3) made Orange Park (10-3) work for it, though, jumping out to the early lead, 12-6, with wins in three of the first four matches. The Raiders then scored 24 straight to build a 30-12 margin, clinching the dual on Wesley Carlisle’s second-period tech fall with three weights to go.
Cameron Broughton (145), Jacob Campbell (170), Jacob Moore (182), Julian Moore (195), James McArthur (220) and Yamilie Lopez (106) each had pins for Orange Park, along with Carlisle’s tech.
Oakleaf answered with falls from David Parkes (152), Josh Murrell (285) and Gavin Bamber (132), plus decisions from Trevor Owens (6-4 at 138), James McClintic (14-9 at 160), Marcus McGee (3-2 at 120) and Jason Stewart (a wild 20-17 win at 126).
The Raiders and Knights will be at Oakleaf again today for the inaugural Friday Knight Lights. Weather permitting, it will be held on the Oakleaf football field and should finish slightly after dark.
Yulee quad: The hosts swept to three double-digit wins over Interlachen (78-0), FSDB (59-6) and Mandarin (48-36) to open their dual season at 3-0.

FSDB shut out Interlachen, 48-0, in round 3. Lance Gardenhire (126, 2 pins) was the Dragons’ lone unbeaten wrestler, at 3-0.
Yulee will be at Friday Knight Lights today, while both Mandarin (Fernandina Beach’s Dual in the Dunes) and Interlachen (Buchholz’s Bobcat Holiday Duals) will wrestle on Saturday. FSDB is off until the St Johns County Championship, hosted by Creekside on January 4.

No reports from: We did not hear from any part of the Atlantic Coast tri-meet, at which Robert E. Lee and Sandalwood attended. We also did not get a scoresheet from University-Orange City in its all-University dual with University (Orlando). Further writing on those four teams will be dependent upon submission of full results.
