12/12 #DailyRoundup: South Walton Takes Down Bay

North Florida Matmen staff report

SANTA ROSA BEACH — Full-sized teams against half-sized teams rarely are going to go wrong in duals.

And with seven forfeits — and a corresponding 42-0 lead built in — South Walton could focus on wrestling with full intensity against district rival Bay in the dual season-opener for both teams Thursday night.

Over the weekend, South Walton placed 25th at the Capital City Classic in Tallahassee. Bay was slated to go there, but did not attend; the Tornadoes’ next event is the Allstate Wildcat Invitational in Valdosta GA on December 20-21.

Alabama tri-meet: At W.S. Neal HS, Tate sustained a pair of dual losses, falling to Satsuma (48-16) in round 1 and the hosts (48-36) in the final dual of the night.

Tate got back on the mats Saturday, competing at district rival Gulf Breeze’s one-day Gulf Breeze Duals tournament. Results on the Aggies’ day were not available at press time.

Bozeman quadrangular: No results from any of the four teams competing in the event — Arnold, North Bay Haven, Rutherford and the host Bucks — were reported. Writing on these four teams will be held until results are returned.

RESULTS: Can be found under Thursday, December 12 (some scrolling will be involved) HERE.
