2/11 #DailyRoundup: First Coast Sweep; Wins For Palatka, Pace

JACKSONVILLE — First Coast put a damper on Stanton’s Senior Night tri-meet event Tuesday, taking victories over the Blue Devils (52-18) and FSDB (60-12).

The night began with Stanton defeating the Dragons, 66-12.

Ian Leschinskey (113) Trevor Studstill (120, pin over FSDB), Tyler Heflin (152), DeVante Wyatt (170, 2 pins), Cleon Johnson (182, 2 pins), Hakeem Culberson (195, decision over Stanton), Grayson Peterson (220, pin over Stanton) and Dylan Lampkin (285) all were double winners for the Buccaneers.

Payton London (138) and Micah Cohen (145) added falls for First Coast in the FSDB dual, with Josiah Mossor (major at 145) and Jace Austin (decision at 132) adding wins in the Stanton dual.

Gabriel Navarro (138, 2 pins) was the only Blue Devil senior to win twice. He was joined by Kenneth Caldeo (106) and Artin Rezaei (126, pin over FSDB) as Stanton double-winners.

Liam Salem (145), Avery Debelen (170) and Timothy Sinclair (182) all had pins in the FSDB victory for the Blue Devils.

FSDB’s Sean Meyers (132) had a pair of pins, and was the only Dragon to win a contested match.

The Dragons have a home quad meet tonight, while both Stanton and First Coast are off until the 2A-District 3 traditional IBT at Terry Parker on Feb. 22.

Palatka 48, Union 30: At Palatka, the Panthers spotted the Tigers a 12-0 lead before roaring back to win five in a row and seven of the next nine matches.

Ontarriyus Reid (126), Drevon Wallace (132), Brandon Lewis (138), DJ Nealy (145), Adaris Medina (152), Samuel Lafferty (170) and Marlon Williams (285) all won by fall for Palatka.

For Union, Christian Simmons (106), Brandon Mecusker (120) and Allan McClellon (182) all took pins.

Union will be first back on the mats, going to Villages on Saturday for the TD Talbott Legion Duals. Palatka is off until next week’s 1A-District 5 traditional IBT at Pedro Menendez on Feb. 19.

Pace 66, Milton 6: At Pace, the Patriots rolled up seven forfeits and won all but one contested match on Senior Night.

Nick Adams (182), Cam Goodenow (285), Derrick Lancero (120) and Ethan Billhimer (126) each won b fall for Pace.

Brandon Nicholson (138) had Milton’s lone points, with a win by pin.

Both teams are now off for the next two weeks until the 2A-District 1 traditional IBT at Gulf Breeze on Feb. 22.

Missing results: Results from the Crestview-Tate and Atlantic-Pine Ridge duals were not available at this writing. Coaches can still submit scoresheets or report to Track by 8 p.m. tonight for inclusion with this story.
