3A-R1 Records Update: Lake Howell

Hey guys!

The work continues. Because of course it does.

If you’ve been around a while, you’ve seen us do some things to talk about more of Florida wrestling besides the coverage area. We are therefore happy to start up — because we were worried we wouldn’t have time — our Records Updates for the remainder of 3A-Region 1 and 1A-Region 2.

We will alternate between 3A and 1A teams until we are done with 3A (which should be done first), then it will be just 1A going forward. With any luck, we’re done with these by October 1. Our third 3A-District 4 team is out today, with Lake Howell.

LAKE HOWELL

You can see everything I have on the Silver Hawks in 2019-20 here –>  LAKE HOWELL

Win/loss record: 3-12 in dual meets searchable by Matmen. Please review the attached document for a summary of the Silver Hawks’ performance in IBT events. All individual records are as searchable online. In most cases, adjustments have been made in post-season traditional tournament starters’ records to reflect records reported to the District 4 host. Others with 15+ searchable matches have asterisks attached to records to note incompleteness.

Tournament results (where results are complete): 2-6 (23rd) at Johnny Rouse Duals. 30th at Tournament of Champions. 1-3 (7th) at District 4 duals. T-42nd at Lady Panther. T-25th at Lady Bear Classic. 29th at Flagler Rotary. 6th at Seminole Athletic Conference. T-99th at Girls’ State. 6th at 3A-District 4 traditional tournament. T-23rd at 3A-Region 1 traditional tournament.

Projected key returners (15+ matches this past season) for 2020-21 (with year in school as they’ll be next year): Jonathan Adams (sophomore, 23-14 at 138, district 4th, 1-2 at regions); Phillip Carstens (sophomore, 19-11* at 152, district runnerup, 1 match from states); Matthew Parrish (sophomore, 4-11* at 160, did not compete in post-season traditionals); Maximus McMichael (senior, 14-16 at 170, 1 match from regions); Joshua Maldonado (sophomore, 8-14 at 285, district 3rd, 0-2 at regions).

Graduation losses (15+ matches this past season or post-season experience) from this year’s team: Andrea Rios (6-15* at 112/113, 0-2 at girls’ state); Victor Perez (10-4 at 120, district 4th, did not compete at regions); Amelia Ngo (2-17* at 126/128, 0-2 at girls’ state); Trevor Peterson (8-13 at 132, 1 match from regions); Daniel Stadig (4-14* at 220, 1 match from regions).
