1A-R2 Records Update: Master’s Academy

Hey guys!

The work continues. Because of course it does.

If you’ve been around a while, you’ve seen us do some things to talk about more of Florida wrestling besides the coverage area. We are therefore happy to start up — because we were worried we wouldn’t have time — our Records Updates for the remainder of 3A-Region 1 and 1A-Region 2.

With 3A complete, we will alternate between 1A Districts 6-8 until complete. With any luck, we’re done with these by October 1. Our sixth 1A team out of District 7 is Master’s Academy.

MASTER’S ACADEMY

You can see everything I have on the Eagles in 2019-20 here –>  MASTERS ACADEMY

Win/loss record: 0-9 in dual meets searchable by Matmen. Please review the attached document for a summary of the Eagles’ performance in IBT events. All individual records noted below are as searchable online. For post-season starters, adjustments were made to win/loss records based upon results reported to the District 7 traditional tournament host. For those that had 15+ searchable matches but were not post-season starters, asterisks were added to reflect record’s incomplete nature.

Tournament results (where results are complete): 11th at Battle for the Blacktop. 29th at Kiwanis Invitational. 10th at Bill Scott Holiday Tournament. 24th at Tournament of Champions. 0-3 at Ships N Duels (duals portion). 16th at Ships N Duels (IBT). 10th at Private School Challenge. 22nd at Flagler Rotary. 6th at 1A-District 7 traditional tournament. 31st at 1A-Region 2 traditional tournament.

Projected key returners (15+ searchable matches this past season) for 2020-21 (with year in school as they’ll be next year): Dustin Kohn (7th, 31-18 at 106, district runnerup, 0-2 at regions); Brandon Cody (freshman, 51-6 at 120, district runnerup, 0-2 at regions-injured); Alejandro Rojas (freshman, 13-28 at 126, 1 match from regions); Daniel Pacheco (freshman, 7-23 at 126/132, did not compete in post-season traditionals); Bryson Blanford (freshman, 5-32 at 132, 1 match from regions); Zachary Weaver (freshman, 11-29 at 138, 0-2 at districts); Colin Brown (freshman, 10-23 at 145, 0-2 at districts); Theodore Mattingly (freshman, 4-35 at 152, 1 match from regions); Dylan Kohn (senior, 50-6 at 152, 3A-District 4 champ, 3A-Region 1 champ, 3A state 3rd; transferred from Hagerty); Ryan Cody (senior, 39-12 at 160, 3A-District 4 runnerup, 3A-Region 1 3rd, 1 match from state medal at 3A states; transferred from Hagerty); Christopher Pacheco (junior, 15-20 at 195, district 4th, 0-2 at regions).
