#NextLevel: December 1-5 Results

LAKELAND — Southeastern romped to victory on Saturday in the Florida Duals, taking wins over Keiser (47-4) and St Thomas (51-0).

Jaquan English

In the victory over St Thomas, Fire wrestlers bagged bonus points in each of the first seven matches wrestled. The last of those seven was Jaquan English (Raines ’18; ranked 18th by Intermat among NAIA 141s), who falled St Thomas’ Osniel Carnesolta in 49 seconds in the 141-pound match.

As far as we were able to tell, the Southeastern-Keiser dual marked the first intercollegiate appearance for Keiser’s Carlos Bogan (Ft Walton Beach ’19; no photo available on team website).

Bogan started for the Seahawks in their dual against the Fire, taking a loss by fall to former Jensen Beach wrestler and starter at 157 in both duals Saturday, Kyle Kirkham (#11 in NAIA), in 3:58.

Maia starts at 149: At Columbia, KY, on Friday night, Kaz Maia (Flagler Palm Coast ’16) started twice for Cumberland-TN on Friday night, with a decision win and decision loss against a pair of top-10 NAIA-ranked teams.

Kaz Maia
