JACKSONVILLE — Wolfson rolled out to a 65-6 dual victory at home Friday night over Gateway Conference and crosstown rival Paxon, taking seven of eight contested matches.
The Wolfpack (2-0 in duals) picked up pins from Max Lewallen (132), Liam Strange (138), Grant Barineau (145), Bryce Frye (152), Joseph Decunto (182) and Tavion Ford (285). Haydon Long (220) took a second-period technical fall.
Paxon (1-1) had its lone points at 170, where Michael Dramis won by fall in the first period.
Matmen has Wolfson going to Fernandina Beach for a quad meet on Wednesday night, but that was pre-Gateway Conference social distancing requirements, so whether that event is held, we’re not clear. Paxon will be hosting a tri-meet on Thursday night, with First Coast and Raines.
First Coast 42, Bishop Snyder 6: At First Coast, the Buccaneers won their first dual meet under new HC Tannor Tenopir, with five contested wins.
First Coast (1-1) had pins from Payton London (145), Isaiah Tucker (160) and Adam Haynes (182). Jace Austin (14-11 at 132) and Josiah Mossor (9-2 at 152) each added decision victories.
Bishop Snyder (0-3) got its lone contested victory at 126, where Christian Villanueva won by fall.
First Coast will be at Paxon on Thursday night, while the Cardinals’ next competition will be at Yulee, in the two-day Yulee Duals, starting Friday afternoon.
