#DailyRdp: 01/22 Duals

JACKSONVILLE — Raines held back-to-back tri-meets on back-to-back nights.

And in both cases, the out-of-town team that joined the pair of Duval County-based teams ruled the roost.

Friday night, it was Baker Cty that took care of business twice with wins over Raines (54-24) and Paxon (66-9).

The final dual of the night was all Gateway Conference, as the Vikings stopped the Golden Eagles, 30-24.

Double winners for the Wildcats (10-14 in duals for the season) were Copher Stran (120), Thomas Torres (126), Joshua Carter (132, pin over Paxon), Cannon Wimpey (145), Rasean Rayan (152, pin over Raines), Leo Cottrell (160, pin over Paxon), Conner South (182, pin over Paxon), Garrett Cain (220, pin over Paxon) and Daeshawn Larry (285, pin over Raines).

The host Vikings (6-6) got a pair of wins from Shanice West (106, pin over Baker Cty), De’Quon King (113, pin over Baker Cty) and Raynarde Thomas (170, 2 pins).

Matthew Brunelli (195, 2 pins) was a double winner for Paxon (3-6).

Both Raines and Paxon are off until Friday’s Gateway Conference tournament at Fletcher. Baker County is off until February 5, when the Wildcats will compete in the Clay Rotary.
