LAKE MARY — Three of Seminole’s seven wrestlers contesting in Saturday’s Seminole Athletic Conference tournament at Lake Mary wound up earning top-four finishes.
William James (170) and Michael Frederick (195) both took thirds, while Anshuman Singh (138) was fourth in the eight-team tournament.
As a team, Seminole was seventh with 31 points. Winter Springs, with nine weight-class champs, outdistanced runnerup Hagerty, 258.5-186.
James had three wins in the 170 bracket, losing only by fall in the semis to the eventual champ. He had a major and two decisions in taking third.
Frederick was 1-1 in placing third, falling in overtime, 5-4, to the eventual runnerup, but bounced back with a decision in the bronze-medal match. Singh was 1-2 at 138, with a quarterfinal loss to the eventual champ.

The Noles are now off until the 3A-District 2 IBT on the 19th.
