MERRITT ISLAND — A smaller contingent from Seminole made the drive to the Indian River on Saturday, placing seventh out of eight teams at the Merritt Island Roundrobin event.
Seminole scored 17.5 points in the event, with two wrestlers going 1-1 to place second in their respective weights, with an additional third and sixth.
Noah Barbour (113) was second, with a 21-5 tech fall win over Space Coast and loss by fall to Merritt Island. Marlon Hooks (182) also was second in a three-person roundrobin. After falling to the eventual champ from Cocoa by pin, Hooks took a 5-4 win over Space Coast to claim second.
AJ Salomon was 2-2 to place third at 132 in a five-person round robin, with pins over Winter Park and Rockledge and losses by fall to two different Merritt Island wrestlers.
Finally, Robert Marley (152) was sixth at 152, going 1-2 in Pool B with a forfeit win, and loss by injury default to Space Coast in the place match.
Seminole’s regular season is now complete; the Noles will be at Flagler Palm Coast on Friday for the 3A-District 2 IBT.
