#TheSeason2020-21: Tate

Hey guys!

The work continues. We are bringing back, for its seventh year, #TheSeason. We didn’t do these first year, but have ever since. It’s something nobody else does. We compile all season records and write a wrapup for each team. To get them completed more quickly, we are summarizing these a bit more than in seasons past.

Today, we are back in district work and a quarter of the way done with Round 4, with Tate.

You can see everything I have on the Aggies in 2020-21 here –>  TATE

(All season records should be viewed in light of the one missing dual from January 14; some records, based upon reported results to district host, could be complete and others incomplete)

2020-21 MVP: Caiden Stone

  • 3-2 (5th) at Ryan Blackwell
  • 0-1 at 2A-District 1 Duals
  • 3-2 (8th) at 2nd Annual George Mulligan Memorial
  • 2-5 in post-season series (see above)
  • Team’s lone region qualifier

2021-22 captain: Jacob Turner

  • 2-2 (4th) at Ryan Blackwell
  • 2-2 (4th) at 2nd Annual George Mulligan Memorial
  • Did not compete in post-season series but has team’s top record among eligible returners

2020-21 Zander Laurin Warrior: Joseph Yasurek

  • First-year freshman completed season with just one victory (at Bay in January), a win by fall
  • All of his reported losses ended in pins
  • Nevertheless, kept coming back and trying to score points for his team, even trying to finish fifth at districts after two earlier losses
