#TheSeason2020-21: First Baptist Christian

Hey guys!

The work continues. We are bringing back, for its seventh year, #TheSeason. We didn’t do these first year, but have ever since. It’s something nobody else does. We compile all season records and write a wrapup for each team. To get them completed more quickly, we are summarizing these a bit more than in seasons past.

Today, we are in the homestretch of Round 4 with First Baptist Christian, our final independent team.

FIRST BAPTIST CHRISTIAN

You can see everything I have on the Crusaders in 2020-21 here   –>  FIRST BAPTIST CHRISTIAN

Win/loss record: 1-2 in dual meets reported to Matmen.

Season in a nutshell:

  • 19th at 47th Annual Bill Scott Memorial, 12/19 (19 teams).

The season in review: We have to do this recap a bit differently from the others, because none of the Crusaders got 10 matches in 2020-21. After competing in three early duals, and the nearby Bill Scott Memorial at Lyman the week before Christmas, there were no more dates that FBCA could fill. The Crusaders had eight regular starters that made appearances in those duals and tournament, and were it not for Covid those eight could have had a full season (you can see them in the attached document). I am hopeful that this will happen for FBCA in 2021-22.
