Season Records Update: Windermere

Hey guys!

The work continues. After we complete #TheSeason for the previous year, we work on records for the remainder of 3A-Region 1 and 1A-Region 2. The final team we will recap for 3A-Region 1 is Windermere. This portion of the update is complete.

WINDERMERE

Win/loss record: 8-9 in duals reported to online sources in 2020-21. Most of Windermere’s results were reported to Track, but there were a couple of items still on the Wolverines’ schedule that were not reported.

Season in a nutshell:

  • 2-3 (4th) at Longhorn Duals, 12/5 (6 teams)
  • 4-1 (2nd) at 3A-District 3 Duals, 1/9 (6 teams)
  • 0-1 (quarterfinalist) at 3A-Region 1, 1/14 (8 teams, 7 competing)
  • 2-3 (4th) at Storm Warning Duals, 1/16 (6 teams)
  • 10th at Women’s Metro Conference, 2/3 (20 teams, 12 competing)
  • T-50th at Girls’ State, 2/19-20 (118 teams competing)
  • 3rd at 3A-District 3, 2/20 (8 teams)
  • T-21st at 3A-Region 1, 2/26-27 (31 teams)

Projected key returners (10+ matches or post-season experience this past season) for 2021-22 (with year in school as of next season): Boston Siemer (sophomore, 6-11 at 120, did not compete in post-season traditionals); Lucas Drone (sophomore, 5-7 at 126/132, did not compete in post-season traditionals); Sophia Lahik (senior, 7-4 at 128, girls’ state 6th); Francisco Delgado-Mendez (junior, 5-6 at 132, district 4th, 1-2 at regions); Tyler Drone (senior, 12-10 at 138, district runnerup, 1-2 at regions); Jerry Vargas (senior, 9-14 at 152, district 3rd, 1-2 at regions); Kurt Vollenweider (senior, 16-7 at 160, district runnerup, 2-2 at regions); Joao Nascimento (junior, 4-3 at 170, district 3rd, 0-2 at regions); Nicholas Cabrera (senior, 8-14 at 182, district runnerup, 0-2 at regions); Lucas Gonzales (senior, 5-5 at 220, did not compete in post-season traditionals); Avin Mortensen (sophomore, 6-8 at 285, district 3rd, 0-2 at regions).

Projected losses (10+ matches or post-season experience this past season) via graduation unless otherwise noted: Ticiano Brito (13-9 at 126, district 3rd, 1-2 at regions); Joao Cavaliere (6-12 at 145, district 4th, 0-2 at regions); Hendrix Paterson (8-5 at 170/182, did not compete in post-season traditionals); Nathan Lopez (8-11 at 195, district 4th, 0-2 at regions).
