The Patriots (4-0 at the time the duals were contested) routed Ocean Springs (MS), 58-18, and then won five straight matches between 160 and 220 to defeat 2A-District 1 rival Niceville, 48-33.
In the third dual contested, Niceville defeated the Mississippi side by nearly an identical score as Pace’s, with the Eagles (9-5 at the time the duals were contested) winning, 57-18.
Double winners for Pace were Alexander Mendez (106, pin), James Spicer (113), Maeson Otwell (138, pin & major), Atticus Waters (160, 2 pins), Ty Morgan (170, pin), Isaac Waters (182, 2 pins), Aiden Bryan (195, pin) and Hale Wood (220, pin).
Niceville double winners were Garrett Jarvis (120, pin), JJ Martinez (145, pin), Aiden Kyllonen (152, decision) and Asa Adams (285). Andreas Maldanado-Negron (138, pin), Bryce Travis (160, pin) and Harrisen Wall (182, major) each added contested wins against Ocean Springs.
