MIDWEEK DUALS

#NWDailyRdp: January 11

GULF BREEZE — Each team had seven pins. Neither team had a forfeit victory.

Tuesday night’s dual between 2A-District 1 rivals came down to criteria — according to sources, first points was the criterion that made the difference — with Gulf Breeze taking a 43-42 win.

In the dual, Gulf Breeze held down the middle weights, for the most part, while Crestview controlled the uppers, mostly, and the bookends of the lineup.

Gulf Breeze (15-5) gained pins from Coby Shields (120), Michael Mancuso (126), Colson Elliott 9132), Logan Merritt (138), Garret Rudick (145), Brennden Nita (160) and Blake Fluck (182).

The Bulldogs (4-7) got falls from Frehdis Metzger (106), James Metcalf (113), Lance Sanders (152), Layne Franks (170), Chris Greene (195), Caleb Sims (220) and Anthony Boyer (285).

The Dolphins go back on the mat Thursday night at Pace, when they’ll face Fleming Island in a 2A-Region 1 duals quarterfinal, with either the host Patriots or Chiles in the semifinal in the event of a win. Crestview gets back to competition Friday, going to Wewahitchka’s two-day Gator Brawl tournament.

MISSING: We have a lot of missing results, from several teams around the coverage area, and we need YOUR help to clean that up. Please check out our SCHEDULE PAGE; if your school is listed as pending, or an event in which you took part is pending, see if your coach can send in your team’s part of that event. We will post results at any time of year, no matter how late they are when they are sent.
