ORLANDO — In a rivalry #BackyardBrawl match between 3A-District 4 competitors, Olympia pushed through to a 41-40 victory over Windermere at home Wednesday night.

Both teams won seven matches in the dual, with each Olympia victory resulting in max points.

Brae White (120), Madden Bourst (132), Zack Winkelkotter (170), Gabriel Cuellar (195), Donnell McCray (220) and Maximillian Novell (285) all won by fall for the Titans.

Windermere (3-2 in duals for the season) had pins from Layton Hutchison (113), Tyler Drone (138), Darius Vines (145), and Kurt Vollenweider (182), with Lucas Drone taking a 12-4 major at 126.

Olympia will be at St Cloud’s Milton-Winter-Cousins Memorial two-day IBT starting on Friday, while Windermere faces Hagerty tonight in a 3A-Region 1 quarterfinal match at the Huskies gym.

Timber Creek girls’ rumble: Delegations from Apopka and Oviedo joined the Lady Wolfpack, along with out-of-area teams Freedom and East River, in Wednesday night’s girls event.

Madison Waltz (135) and Chloe Shull (145) were both 2-0 on the night for the hosts, both taking two pins.

Molly Puleo (105/110) had one win (by pin) for the Lady Wolfpack, while Oviedo’s Camryn Harber (105, pin), as well as Apopka’s Samantha Sherman (125, decision), Nehemie Gregoire (135, pin) and Jada Jones (185/190, pin) all had one victory on the night.
