DELTONA — In a rare Monday night dual between 5 Star Conference opponents, the host Wolves swept all of the lower-weight matches and took enough upper-weight wins for a 51-30 win.

Deltona (8-8 in duals for the season) built a 39-0 advantage through the lower half of the lineup, with pins from Dianna Pineda (106), Austin Riis (113), Nicholas Conboy (120) and Kevin Kerns (132), plus a 9-4 decision from Jeffrey Root at 138 and forfeits at 126 and 145.

The Wolves tacked on two more wins up top on pins from Nate Tsang (195) and Nathan Hatch (285).

University (Orange City) (4-14) collected three pins on the night from Cooper Braden (152), Bryan Persinger (160) and Rubens Joseph (220), plus forfeit wins at 170 and 182.

The Wolves remain in host mode on Wednesday night, with Atlantic coming over in an intracounty matchup, while University (Orange City) is off until Friday and Flagler Palm Coast’s Flagler Rotary IBT.
