NICEVILLE — In the lone Northwest dual scheduled for Tuesday night, Niceville’s seniors got a solid sendoff from the entire team in a 60-12 victory over 2A-District 1 rival Choctaw.
The Eagles (15-9 in duals for the season) got out to a fast start, rolling up a 42-0 kickoff to the dual behind pins from Bryce Travis (160), Ty Hawkins (170), Martin Black (182) and Harrisen Wall (195), with an injury-default win to JJ Martinez (145) and decisions from Aidan Kyllonen (6-0 at 152) and Asa Adams (a dual-clinching 9-8 win at 285), plus a forfeit at 220.
Choctaw (15-13) then picked up its points, thanks to a fall from Olivia Culpepper (106) and a forfeit win at 113.
The Eagles then closed out the night with a forfeit at 120, plus pins from Noah Jarvis (132) and Andreas Maldonado-Negron (138).
Both teams will reconvene Saturday at Pace’s one-day IBT event.
