CRAWFORDVILLE — In what has become the traditional regular-season finale for both teams, Wakulla finished its Senior Night on an up note, with a 41-29 dual victory over Lincoln Thursday night.

The key stretch for the War Eagles (12-2 in duals for the season) came between 126 and 182, as Wakulla won all but one match during those weights, outscoring the Trojans 36-6 during that group.

Juan Jimenez (126), Nate Jacobs (132), Hayden Reeves (145) and Tyler Edenfield (182) each won by fall during that stretch, with Jae T Thaxton (15-0 in 4:59 at 160) adding a tech fall and Isaiah Wilson (11-2 at 138) a major decision.

Daniel Brattain (11-5 at 170) picked up a decision victory during that group of weights, with Julian Harvey (29-13 in 5:11 at 106) also adding a technical-fall win.

Lincoln (4-2) largely controlled at the book ends, with Omarion LaRoach (220) and Nic Weaver (285) picking up pins. Cayden Bevis (26-11 in 2 minutes) had a first-period TF for the Trojans, with Vaniel Caceres (18-10 at 113) and Jashawn Washington (11-3 at 120) also scoring bonus-point wins in the lowers. Connor Edwards (152) won by fall to put a brief dent in Wakulla’s run in the middle.
