KISSIMMEE — Flagler Palm Coast stands T-5th after Thursday’s first day of competition in the FHSAA 3A state tournament at Silver Spurs Arena.
The Bulldogs are tied with Harmony with 22 points, and have eight wrestlers going into Friday’s competition (five quarterfinalists, three in consis).
Top four teams Thursday are Southwest Miami (38 points), South Dade (36), Palmetto Ridge (28) and Osceola (22.5).
Hagerty is seventh with 18 points, with four quarterfinalists and one in consis. Buchholz is T-13th, with 11 points and four quarterfinalists, while Timber Creek is T-15th with 10 points and one quarterfinalist plus two in consis. Apopka and Winter Park are both T-20th. The Blue Darters have two left (one quarterfinalist, one in consis), while the Wildcats have two quarterfinalists and a third in the consis.
Bartram Trail is T-24th, with eight points (one quarterfinalist, one in consis), while Oakleaf is T-27th (seven points, one quarterfinalist, one in consis), DeLand T-33rd (five points, one quarterfinalist, one in consis) and Forest & Wekiva are T-42nd with three points each. The Wildcats have one in the consis, as do the Mustangs. Mandarin is T-52nd with two points and one quarterfinalist.
Atlantic Coast, Creekside, Sandalwood, Seminole and Windermere did not score on Thursday.
