#TheSeason2021-22: Destin

We are once again compiling #TheSeason recaps.

We will sweep through each district, one at a time, until all 100 teams are completed. This is our first of three independent teams, Destin. The Sharks did not report a roster to Trackwrestling, so this will be one of two independent teams where we will not know the competitors’ years in school, either for this past season or the one ahead. Records were as compiled through a review of Trackwrestling tournaments in which we know the Sharks competed.

You can see everything I have on the Sharks in 2021-22 here –>  21-22 RECORDS

Win/loss record: 3-6 in duals as reported.

Season in a nutshell:

  • 21st at Border Wars IX, December 3-4 (21 teams).
  • 17th at Ryan Blackwell, December 11 (17 teams).
  • 17th at 3rd Annual George Mulligan Memorial, January 21-22 (17 teams).
  • 8th at Spearfish Invitational, February 5 (10 teams).

Projected key returners (15+ matches or post-season experience this past season) for 2022-23: Jimmy Singleton (11-15 at 113/120); Charlie Valentine (12-7 at 132/138); Adrien DeJesus (6-17 at 138/145); Zachary Thomas (16-13 at 145); Matheus Barcelos (8-9 at 152); Noah Gentry (10-13 at 152/160).

Projected losses (10+ reported matches or post-season experience this past season) via graduation unless otherwise noted: Unknown, as we do not know years in school for this past season’s roster.
