#TheSeason2021-22: Fletcher

We are once again compiling #TheSeason recaps.

We will sweep through each district, one at a time, until all 100 teams are completed. The next district was 2A-District 3; its next random selection was Fletcher. Records shown here are mine as compiled; despite a couple of missing results, my records were pretty close on even without adjustments needed.

Win/loss record: 23-11 in duals as reported.

Season in a nutshell:

• 19th at Keystone Memorial, January 8 (25 teams).
• 1st at Gateway Conference, January 28-29 (15 teams).
• 7th at Clay Rotary, February 4-5 (36 teams).
• 1st at 2A-District 3 IBT, February 17 (8 teams).
• 10th at 2A-Region 1 IBT, February 25-26 (33 teams).
• 24th at 2A State IBT, March 3-5 (80 teams).

Projected boys key returners (15+ matches or post-season experience this past season) for 2022-23 (with year in school as of next season): Landon Locantora (sophomore, 33-17 at 106, District 3 champ, 1-2 at Region 1); Jimi Baur (junior, 22-15 at 113, District 3 3rd, 1-2 at Region 1); Cole O’Brien (junior, 41-3 at 126, District 3 champ, 1 match from states); Elias Twigg (sophomore, 5-6 at 132, District 3 runnerup, 0-2 at Region 1); Teagan Smyth (junior, 5-18 at 138, did not compete in post-season traditional); Jackson McEachin (senior, 6-13 at 145, District 3 4th, 1-2 at Region 1); Josh Daltro (senior, 43-11 at 160, District 3 champ, 1 match from states); Joseph Kohlhaas (junior, 33-15 at 170, District 3, 2-2 at Region 1); Ryan Klein (senior, 13-3 at 182, did not compete in post-season traditional); Vincent Gouin (sophomore, 4-19 at 182/195, did not compete in post-season traditional); Toby Matson (senior, 46-2 at 285, District 3 champ, Region 1 champ, state 3rd).
