WINDERMERE — Windermere’s third event of the 2022-23 seasons didn’t require the Lady Wolverines to travel to Tampa this time.
This time, it merely required setting up and taking down the gym after Tuesday’s four-team girls’ roundrobin, in which Dr Phillips, Ocoee and West Orange also competed.
No team scores were kept in the event, with the goal to provide 1-2 matches for each competitor.
Three wrestlers took a pair of victories on the night.
At 125, in her first contests of the season, Windermere freshman Alicia Williams picked up a pair of pins over Ocoee opponents. Dr Phillips senior Mia Worsham won twice at 140, with a fall over West Orange and a decision over Windermere, while Wekiva’s Bianna Hertilien (no year in school listed on Trackwrestling) had pins over West Orange and Ocoee.
Results from Tuesday’s wrestling can be found HERE.
Ocoee competed in Wekiva’s Mustang Stampede roundrobin event Wednesday night; results are not yet available from that event. The Mustangs have another roundrobin set for December 7 at home, and Ocoee is set to compete in that as well. West Orange’s girls will be at Lady Clash of Titans on Friday at University (Orange City). Dr Phillips is off until December 10, when the Lady Panthers will compete at Colonial’s Grenadier Girls Grappler.
