Area returning champions: Bartram Trail returns as team champion; the Bears won via three-way tiebreaker a year ago.
Synopsis: With Clay in this tournament field, it’s pretty de rigueur to put the Blue Devils into the top spot and I think even for this younger group, that’s rightfully so. But there’s going to be good scraps, with solid clubs in Baker, Episcopal, Bartram, Fernandina, New Smyrna and Union all challenging well. The Charlton club, if they bring their A kids, will show out fairly well as well.
Milestones: With one win Saturday, Clay senior Dominic Martin will reach 125 career victories.
