#Recap: Johnson, Perkins Win Titles For Pace

FOLEY, AL — All four of Pace’s girls wrestlers that competed in Saturday’s 1ROAR Girls Scramble placed first or second in their weight classes.

The Lady Patriots were third out of seven teams in the one-day event, with 52 points. Baker (AL) won the title with 67 points, with host Foley second.

Morgan Johnson (114) and Ryleigh Perkins (185) both won their respective weight groups for Pace.

Johnson took pins over wrestlers from Foley (1:20) and Baker (:35) to win the 114 title, while Perkins got two pins over a wrestler from Elberta (AL) (1:25 & 43 seconds, respectively).

Allyssa Garcia (120) and Eveyln Pulkscamp (145) were both 2nd. Garcia was 1-1 on the day, with a loss to Foley separating first from second at 120; Pulkscamp, also, was 1-1, while competing at 145, with a loss by fall to a wrestler from Daphne (AL).
