Teams in the field: In addition to the host Senators, Bartram Trail, Bishop Kenny, Ponte Vedra and Terry Parker represent the north. Osceola is coming into the island for a visit.
Defending team champion: None. This is the inaugural season for this event.
Synopsis: With the Kowboys coming in with their high-power talent at several weights, it’s tempting to list them as the pre-tournament favorite, and they should be. I do expect some solid fights for second between Fletcher, Bishop Kenny and Bartram Trail — all seen preseason as in the mix for district team titles. Terry Parker’s improved and Ponte Vedra will have good fight in a few weight classes, so this should be a well-positioned scrap tomorrow.
