Teams in the field: Pool A will have, in addition to the host Hornets, Florida High, Bishop Snyder, Ridgeview and Wewahitchka, in addition to Georgia teams Charlton County, Glynn Academy and Ware County. Pool B will have Ed White, Mandarin, Bolles, Suwannee and University Christian, in addition to Florida out-of-area teams Steinbrenner and Heritage and Georgia’s South Effingham and Camden County’s B group.
Defending team champion: A review of Trackwrestling shows that 2021 champion South Effingham is currently scheduled to return to this year’s tournament.
Synopsis: Pool A should be a battle between the host Hornets and Glynn Academy, which has had some solid performances and seen strong competition already this year. Florida High and Ridgeview will figure strongly into the pool mix as well. In Pool B, the South Effingham-Suwannee battle should determine not only the pool but the overall champion, but Heritage will have several very solid kids and Steinbrenner has a solid group up-and-down the lineup as well.
