Area teams in the field — Belleview, Forest, Ocoee, Raines, St Johns Country Day, Seminole, South Lake.
Defending team champion: Villages is the defending team champion.
Returning area individual champions: Jaydius Bognar (South Lake). Belleview’s Eric McLaughlin and Forest’s Cane Fernandez won at Villages in 2020.
Synopsis: Villages could very well be on track to defend, but I believe Seminole, with a full lineup, and possibly Belleview as well will be very much in the mix for the team title race. Belleview won this tournament in 2020, and several Diamondback starters have competed in it before. Ocoee could be in the mix as well.
