St Johns Super 8 Duals
When & where: Saturday at Creekside.
Teams in the field — In addition to the host Knights, Baker County, Bartram Trail, Bishop Kenny, Episcopal, Nease, Pedro Menendez and Tocoi Creek are entered.
Defending team champion: None. This is the inaugural event under this name; there’s been a similar event that the Knights have run as the St Johns Scuffle in prior seasons.
Synopsis: There’s been a lot of teams with success so far this year. The Knights appear to be the favorite to win the title, but they will be chased hard by their Wednesday night dual foe, Bartram Trail, and Episcopal; those teams went 2-3 at Fernandina Beach last weekend. Bishop Kenny is a consistent threat at several spaces in the lineup, Baker County has had some solid dual successes and Pedro Menendez appears to be improved. I would expect a solid set of competition throughout the day.
