Panhandle Championships (Girls)
When & where: Saturday at Mosley.
Local teams in the field: In addition to the host Dolphins, Arnold, Bay, Bozeman, Choctaw, Crestview, Gulf Breeze, Marianna, Milton, Mosley, Niceville, North Bay Haven, Pace, Ridgeview, Rocky Bayou Christian, Rutherford, South Walton, Tate and Wewahitchka; from outside the area, Enterprise (AL), Northside Methodist (AL).
Synopsis: Most teams west of Tallahassee will be congregated at Mosley for Saturday’s event, and there is still a lot up in the air. I look at Gulf Breeze and Wewahitchka as solid possibilities for the team title, though Mosley should be in the mix, and Crestview, Milton and North Bay Haven all can make quite a bit of ruckus for the top-3. Enterprise (AL), I believe, though, will be the favorite in this field, based upon what I saw in the pre-Christmas tournaments involving Alabama teams.

170: Henlee Haynes (Mosley, 1st), if able to compete.
