4th Annual Mulligan Memorial — Girls
When & where: Saturday at Bay.
Local teams in the field: Although we were told that around half of the teams in the boys’ field would have girls’ teams, there are 29 listings on Trackwrestling at time of this drafting. Arnold, Bay, Bozeman, Chiles, Choctaw, Crestview, Destin, Florida High, Freeport, Ft Walton Beach, Gulf Breeze, Liberty County, Marianna, Milton, Mosley, Niceville, North Bay Haven, Pace, Ridgeview, Rocky Bayou Christian, Rutherford, South Walton, Tate and Wewahitchka are all listed, along with Georgia teams Colquitt County, Montgomery County & Valdosta.
Defending champion: None; while this is the 4th annual event, it’s the first girls’ tournament.
Synopsis: Should be a good chance for the Panhandle-area and Tallahassee-area teams in attendance to get several matches in as the regular season comes to a close. If team scores are kept, it’ll be a good chance to start sorting out the District 1 pecking order; that’s coming in a few weeks, so teams will be starting to build toward that.
