By MATMEN, Sunday, 12:05 p.m.

CRYSTAL RIVER — Chiles had a 3-1 tournament record and placed 3rd in Saturday’s Romulo Camargo one-day duals tournament.

The Timberwolves (10-3 in duals for the season) took wins over Tavares (72-12) and Viera (36-26) before falling to tournament champion Weeki Wachee, 42-39, in the semis; after defeating Crystal River, 51-30, for third place, a dual for true second place against Sarasota could not be wrestled.

Chiles had three wrestlers go 4-0 on the day, led by a pair of max-point efforts from Garrett Marschka (138, 4 pins) and Sam Tolomeo (120, 3 pins). Dillon Elliott (195, 2 pins & decision) also turned in a 4-0 tournament performance.

The Timberwolves had six wrestlers go 3-1.

Jason Marsala (106, 2 pins & decision), Ethan Jackson (126, pin), Jacob Johnston (132, 2 pins), Scott Greenwald (152, 2 pins & decision), Luke Pickels (160, 3 pins) and Cody Elliott (182, 2 pins) all were 3-1 for Chiles. Every Timberwolf wrestler won at least one match and all but one won at least two.

Belleview also competed in this tournament; at the time of publication, the Diamondbacks’ dual results have not been reported. Should that change in the next couple of days, we will add them to this recap.
