Teams in the field: In addition to the host Lions, Hagerty, Lake Brantley, Lake Howell, Lake Mary, Lyman, Seminole and Winter Springs will be in attendance.
Defending team champion: Winter Springs.
Returning individual champions: Conner Rodriguez (Oviedo); Carson Greenier (Hagerty); Ryan Culbertson (Seminole); Elijah Penton (Winter Springs); Landon Revis (Hagerty); Joshua Maldonado (Winter Springs).
Synopsis: Last year’s event was a 1-2 battle between the champions Bears and Hagerty, and I think that will be the case again this year, but I will not be surprised to see teams close the gap between the top two teams and third place. Also, Oviedo — the likeliest candidate for that third spot — can’t rest there, as I think the entire conference has improved, and Seminole and Lake Brantley could very well push the Lions hard for that third spot.
