Seminole Athletic Conference (Girls)
When & where: Saturday at Oviedo.
Teams in the field: In addition to the host Lady Lions, Hagerty, Lake Brantley, Lake Howell, Lake Mary, Lyman, Seminole and Winter Springs will be in attendance.
Defending team champion: Lake Mary.
Returning individual champions: Vanessa Martin-Soto (Lake Brantley); Amy Trevino (Oviedo); Brianna Pena (Seminole); Isabelle Martin (Seminole); Lanyla Hudspeth (Lake Brantley).
Synopsis: Hard to tell where this one might go, as Lake Mary has additional numbers from last year’s championship team, but some losses as well; Hagerty doesn’t have quite the hammers it did of a year ago, but should be solid once again. Host Oviedo, Lake Brantley and Seminole all have some solid personnel, too. Could this come down to the final weight? It just might on Saturday.
