JACKSONVILLE — Stanton wrapped up its regular season with a home double dual Friday night, as the Blue Devils took losses against Beachside (38-29) and Ed White (42-36).
Double winners for the Blue Devils (2-7) were James Leiby (106), William Leiby (113), Leonardo Torres (126, 2 pins) and Dean Holt (138, 2 pins). Malakhi Lewis (160, tech) won by contested match in the loss to Beachside as well.
As for the Barracudas (8-2), Grady Smith (145) won by fall and Eddie Craig (195, 17-1) by technical fall, with Elijah Morrvaridy (6-3 at 132), Kaleb Wilcox (16-10 at 152) and Chase Sureda (6-4 at 220) all taking decisions.
For the Commanders (record unknown due to missing duals), Justin Austin (145), Keyon St Marc (152), Benny Lewis (160, in a brother vs brother match with Stanton’s Malakhi Lewis) and Gavin Torres (220) all won by pins.
Ed White and Beachside did not dual against one another. For each of the three teams, Friday was the conclusion of the regular season.
Palatka 48, St Augustine 16: At Palatka, the host Panthers took down the Yellow Jackets behind three pins and five forfeit victories.
Both teams also had duals against Gainesville, with Palatka winning by a 48-0 count and St Augustine taking a 32-0 win.
Double winners for the Panthers (6-11) were Gabriel Ramos (106), Mikade Harvey (138/145, pin), Logen Cumbo (160, pin), Barrett Clark (182), Sam Lafferty (195, pin) and Ben Clark (285). Gavin Chambliss had a fall in the victory over Gainesville, while Ishmael Foster won by fall at 132 in the win over St Augustine.
St Augustine (record unknown due to missing results) got two wins each from Brenner Logan (113) and Christian Jackson (152, 2 pins). Conner Serrano won by 7-4 decision over Gainesville (0-2 in duals) at 132, while Xavier Rodriguez (126) had an 11-1 major.
For all three times, Friday marked the conclusion of the regular season.
