3A-District 4 IBT
When & where: Saturday at Ocoee, 8 a.m. (weighin), 9:30 a.m. (wrestle).
Teams in the field: In addition to the host Knights, Apopka, Dr Phillips, Olympia, South Lake, West Orange and Windermere are in the district field.
At stake: Top four wrestlers in each of 14 weight classes will automatically advance to the 2A-Region 1 tournament at DeLand on February 24-25. Additional fifth- and sixth-place wrestlers at each weight may be selected to advance as additional region qualifiers to fill out the region bracket. Those wrestlers are selected via an FHSAA schematic.
Defending team champion: Apopka.
Returning individual champions: Franco Bustamante (Windermere), Carter White (Apopka), Tamarion Kendrick (Apopka).
Synopsis: Olympia emerged as the standalone leader of the district at the time of duals last month, and while the Titans certainly can use that as an apex moment, the things that made Olympia’s championship — their consistency across weights — doesn’t automatically translate in the IBT world. Still, though, I am looking for the TItans to take home the title. Apopka should be the solid choice for second, and if Olympia falters, could still pull things well enough to eke out a district win. Ocoee, also, should have a solid chance for second as well.

145: Madden Bourst (Olympia, 19th).
