Boys’ duals record: 19-16.

Season in a nutshell:

  • 8th at Clash of the Titans, December 3 (18 teams).
  • 5th at Dual in the Dunes, December 10 (12 teams).
  • 3rd at Longhorn Rotary Classic, December 17 (13 teams).
  • 3rd at 2A-District 4 Duals, January 4 (9 teams participated).
  • 2nd at Bulldog Duals, January 6-7 (8 teams).
  • Bad Bay Duals, January 13-14 (22 teams; standings were a bit unclear).
  • 6th at Gene Gorman Showcast Duals, January 27-28 (11 teams).
  • 2nd at 5 Star Conference, February 4 (8 teams).
  • 3rd at 2A-District 4 IBT, February 15 (9 teams).
  • 5th at 2A-Region 1 IBT, February 24-25 (33 teams).
  • 12th at 2A State IBT, March 2-4 (81 teams).

Projected key returners (15+ matches or post-season experience this past season) for 2023-24 (with year in school as of next season): Adam Novak (sophomore, 22-23 at 106, District 4 4th, 1-2 at Region 1); Richard Crunkilton (junior, 24-14 at 113, District 4 5th); Spencer Timm (sophomore, 21-19 at 120, District 4 runnerup, 1-2 at Region 1); Merrick Miller (sophomore, 27-21 at 126, District 4 3rd, 2-2 at Region 1); Jonathan Bruner (junior, 37-10 at 132, District 4 runnerup, Region 1 runnerup, 2A state 8th); Aidan Sutton (senior, 32-13 at 138, District 4 champ, Region 1 3rd, 1 match from 2A state medal); Simjay Engberg (senior, 27-14 at 145, District 4 6th); Logan Daley (sophomore, 7-29 at 152, 0-2 at District 4); Sawyer VanRider (senior, 43-9 at 182, District 4 runnerup, Region 1 runnerup, 2A state 5th); Kyle Nilsson (junior, 10-8 at 195/220, did not compete in FHSAA IBT series); Donald Bond-West (junior, 22-20 at 285, District 4 5th).

Projected losses (15+ reported matches or post-season experience this past season) via graduation unless otherwise noted: Micah Nilsson (20-26 at 170, District 4 3rd, 0-2 at Region 1); Derek King (25-9 at 195, District 4 runnerup, Region 1 4th, 2A state 7th); Dylon York (41-6 at 220, District 4 runnerup, Region 1 runnerup, 2A state runnerup).
